A Waterloo Veteran
John Pryke was based at Woolwich when he first enlisted, but there is no record of where he was before the battle of Waterloo. Napoleon escaped from Elba in Feb 1815, so it is likely that Pryke was moved to France as Napoleon rebuilt his army.
