The Emperor, a Suffolk Stallion belonging to George David Badham of Bulmer that won first prize at Chester Meeting of the Royal Agricultural Society in 1858. Article appeared in 'The Farmer's Magazine' in July 1859. Mr Badham was a noted Agriculturalist and Animal Breeder who was born in Bulmer in 1807. He lived in Whitton outside Ipswich before moving back to Jenkins Farm in the village in 1858. He died in Bulmer in 1877. His gravestone can be viewed here.....
